Dr. Jeffrey
N. Kocurek is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
He received his medical degree from the University of Texas
Medical Branch at Galveston. He received the John F. and Bella
A. Lubben Award for Excellence in the study of urology. Dr.
Kocurek completed his internship and residency programs in
general surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch at
Galveston. He then completed a residency program in urology at
the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston where he
served on the Consultants Affairs Policy and Procedures Committee.
During this time, he received a Travel Award for The First
World Congress on Urologic Research funded by the American
Society for Basic Urologic Research as well as first prize in
the Singleton Surgical Society-Resident Essay Competition
on Molecular Techniques in Intraoperative Autologous
Transfusion During Radical Prostatectomy.
Dr. Kocurek is
board certified by the American Board of Urology. He is a
member of the American Urologic Association, South Central
Section of the American Urologic Association, Texas Urologic
Society, American Medical Association and Travis County
Medical Society. He served on the Mediation Committee of the
Travis County Medical Society. Currently, he serves on the
Quality Management and Medical Records Committee at St.
David's Hospital in Austin, Texas.
